book 30 :)

In the story The Pearl  by John Steinbeck we are taken by surprise. Coyito (the baby) wanted to live happily but when a scorpion stings him his father has to go find a pearl. So his father finds a big pearl but it curses him with greed. Then they need to run away and in the end the family throws the pearl away.

book 28


The first half of the book the City of Ember  by Jeanne DuPrau is described as a place of refuge.
The main character in the book is Lina and her problem is that she lives in an underground city
that is falling apart.  She and her friend Doon wanted to save Ember but no one else was aware
of Ember being in trouble. So Doon and Lina try to become friends again. Then, Lina realizes
that someone beat her to the clue and one of her friends is stealing from storerooms.

The second half of the book Holes by Louis Sachar is a suspenseful half of hard work. Stanley wanted to save Zero from the wasteland but Stanley could die so Stanley goes and  finds Zero. They go back to dig the rest of the hole that he found the lipstick container in it. In the end, Stanley finds out that the treasure was his great great grandfathers.

In the first half of the story Holes by Louis Sachar Camp Green Lake is described harshly.  Stanley Yelnats wanted to help his dad make recyclable shoes but it makes him go to jail because apparently they were famous shoes. So Stanley is put in juvenile detention (Camp Green Lake) then after a while he and Zero make a deal that leads Zero to run off. In the end we wonder if Zero will come back to Camp Green Lake.

In the book The Ranger's Apprentice The Battle Of Hackham Heath  by John Flanigan describes the battle of two armies.  Morgath wanted to attack towns that King Duncan’s troops are in but Duncan had called the troops in so Morgath led and attack than lost half of his troops.   Then Halt does a cavalry attack and all the wargals are scared of the horses and retreat back to the three step pass. In the end Morgath has lost the battle.

Pages 1-150


In the first half of the story The Ranger's Apprentice The Battle Of Hackham Heath by John Flanigan
we learn of wrong doings. Morgath wanted to to overthrow the king but Halt and Crowley put
an end to it but they can not go up to the mountains of rain and night because the three step
pass is blocked by wargals. So Halt climbed up the mountains and found information that was
vital. In the end we ask ourselves if Halt and Crowley will survive this battle.

In the second half of the book The Ranger’s Apprentice The Tournament At Gorlan By John Flanigan we are engaged to the suspense of the upcoming tournament. Crowley and Halt wanted to stop Morgath from overthrowing the king but first they need to get the real prince out from the castle he is being kept prisoner in. So Halt and Crowley find a way to get in and rescue prince Duncan and then they go to the tournament of Gorlan to expose Morgath of his wrong doings. In the end the two Rangers find a way to force Morgath out of the land.

In the story The Ranger's Apprentice by John  Flanagan we are deceived on who does what. Morgath wanted to take over the role of king but the two Rangers Crowley and Halt stand in his way so he tries to kill them but Crowley and Halt are masters of disguise so then the two Rangers try to stop Morgath but will they come in time.

book 21

In the story Out Of My Mind by Sharon Draper we are described of the hardships of disabilities. Melody wanted to be able to talk and walk but she is disabled and can’t walk or talk which makes it extremely hard to express that she is smart. So Mrs. V wrote cards for Melody to describe herself.  Then Melody went to school and in some classes she got to go with normal kids who could do everything. In the end we will find out if Melody will make more friends than just Rose and Catherine, or will she just keep not being able to do anything.

In the story Liar Liar Ethan McWyer  By Allie Slocum Ethan wanted to tell the truth but the truth was that a kid pushed him down a really tall slide and his sister socked the boy and he keeps on lying. So Ethan keeps lying and it becomes harder and harder to keep protecting his lie. Then Ethan starts to tell the truth and in the end he comes clean and stops lying .
