book 30 :)

In the story The Pearl  by John Steinbeck we are taken by surprise. Coyito (the baby) wanted to live happily but when a scorpion stings him his father has to go find a pearl. So his father finds a big pearl but it curses him with greed. Then they need to run away and in the end the family throws the pearl away.

book 28


The first half of the book the City of Ember  by Jeanne DuPrau is described as a place of refuge.
The main character in the book is Lina and her problem is that she lives in an underground city
that is falling apart.  She and her friend Doon wanted to save Ember but no one else was aware
of Ember being in trouble. So Doon and Lina try to become friends again. Then, Lina realizes
that someone beat her to the clue and one of her friends is stealing from storerooms.

The second half of the book Holes by Louis Sachar is a suspenseful half of hard work. Stanley wanted to save Zero from the wasteland but Stanley could die so Stanley goes and  finds Zero. They go back to dig the rest of the hole that he found the lipstick container in it. In the end, Stanley finds out that the treasure was his great great grandfathers.

In the first half of the story Holes by Louis Sachar Camp Green Lake is described harshly.  Stanley Yelnats wanted to help his dad make recyclable shoes but it makes him go to jail because apparently they were famous shoes. So Stanley is put in juvenile detention (Camp Green Lake) then after a while he and Zero make a deal that leads Zero to run off. In the end we wonder if Zero will come back to Camp Green Lake.

book 25

In the book The Ranger's Apprentice The Battle Of Hackham Heath  by John Flanigan describes the battle of two armies.  Morgath wanted to attack towns that King Duncan’s troops are in but Duncan had called the troops in so Morgath led and attack than lost half of his troops.   Then Halt does a cavalry attack and all the wargals are scared of the horses and retreat back to the three step pass. In the end Morgath has lost the battle.

Pages 1-150


In the first half of the story The Ranger's Apprentice The Battle Of Hackham Heath by John Flanigan
we learn of wrong doings. Morgath wanted to to overthrow the king but Halt and Crowley put
an end to it but they can not go up to the mountains of rain and night because the three step
pass is blocked by wargals. So Halt climbed up the mountains and found information that was
vital. In the end we ask ourselves if Halt and Crowley will survive this battle.
